“The plan was to re-release the original movie then use the interest in that to help fuel a sequel with Tom in a supporting role,” reveals a movie insider.
“Tom loves the idea but it doesn’t look like he is going to be a part of it in any way. The new Top Gun will now be a reinvention focusing on a new set of young recruits.”

Cory Monteith is reportedly angry about the Glee cast’s heavy work schedule.
The 29-year-old actor who plays Finn Hudson in the musical comedy series is said to have clashed with creator Ryan Murphy because he is unhappy about returning to filming almost immediately after finishing the Glee tour and he also believes the actors should get a greater share of the profits from the show’s spin-off albums.
“Cory was the show’s golden boy but has most recently been the most vocal member of the cast complaining. He feels they are being overworked. They were filming and toured without any time to recover,” a source said.
“He’s become a de facto leader complaining to Ryan Murphy [for the cast], who they feel should give them a bigger share of the show’s success. But Ryan thinks Cory is causing trouble.”
This isn’t the first time the pair have clashed, with Cory previously admitted he only received $400 dollars from Glee‘s number one album.
“I got 400 bucks from it going No. 1. But you know what, that’s OK, because if I’m patient, and if this thing does really well, maybe I’ll see another 400 bucks,” he said.

Ian McKellen buys 300-year-old pub in London‎?

Ian McKellen is buying a 300-year-old pub.
The Lord of the Rings actor is a regular at historic east London drinking establishment The Grapes which helped inspire 19th century English author Charles Dickens and is in the process of purchasing it.
While he will be the owner, 72-year-old Ian who lives close to the pub will employ a manager to run it once the deal is finalized.
Seller Barbara Haigh who has run the pub for the past 17 years said, “Sir Ian is buying the pub with his own interests at heart, especially living close by.”
The pub was immortalized by Dickens who was made to stand on the table and sing to customers as ‘The Six Jolly Fellowship Porters’ pub in ‘Our Mutual Friend’ in 1864.
While Ian is a hugely successful actor and is set to be a landlord, last year he revealed he was mistaken for a beggar by a passer-by.
The veteran actor was amazed to be given money after he stepped outside a theater in Melbourne, Australia, where he was taking a break from rehearsing his role of Estragon in Waiting for Godot.
“During the dress rehearsal of Godot, I crouched by the stage door of the Comedy Theatre, getting some air, my bowler hat at my feet and seeing an unkempt old man down on his luck, a passer-by said, ‘Need some help, brother?’ and put a dollar in my hat. I hope the Melbourne audiences will be as generous,” he said.

Adrian Grenier has told how he was left fighting back tears at the end of his hit show Entourage.
The final episode of the hit show aired last night (Sunday) in the US and it’s star says filming it was torture.
“I was really choked up,” says Adrien. “I just about held it together.
“We were together for six years so that final scene was a big deal for us all. It was kind of like the last day of school. It was very emotional to say goodbye.”

Ryan Gosling 'l looked awful stopping street fight'

Ryan Gosling says he doesn’t know what he thinking when he stopped a recent New York street fight.
The Drive star hit the headlines recently when a passer-by filmed him stepping in to help settle an argument between two men over cash.
The footage has been seen around the world and while Ryan is embarrassed at the coverage, he’s even more so about the stripy tank top he was wearing.
“I don’t know what I was thinking,” says Ryan.
“I look truly awful. The thing is I get sent a lot of free stuff and that top seemed like a good idea at the time. Had I known I was going to be on camera, I would have worked on my outfit!”
Meanwhile, Ryan is said to be dating Eva Mendes.
The Hollywood heartthrob and the stunning actress who recently shot new movieThe Place Beyond the Pines together were seen holding hands and canoodling during a trip to Disneyland, California, over the weekend.
“They looked relaxed and seemed to be having a fun time together. Like a dating couple, they always walked very closely, holding hands and their arms touching side-by-side,” an onlooker said.
“Ryan seemed to pay a lot of attention to her. He would glance over and look her in the face as they walked through the crowds making sure she was okay.”

The British actress says, after four movies, she is so used to her all-action Underworld character she actually believes she could fight off baddies if called upon.
“The danger of an actor having been taken through fight training is that when you throw a full-on punch on set you do for a split second think, ‘Holy s*** I am the badass now! If there is a problem on the plane, I am going to be able to handle myself,’ which is not true at all,” she said.
“I am still as much a wuss as I ever was.”
Beckinsale recently admitted she’s “become attached” to wearing a skintight leather catsuit.
“I used to hate it because it is very tight but now I’m used to it,” she said.
“It’s kind of become a second skin really. I’ve become quite attached to it quite literally actually!”

Reese Witherspoon still shaken up by car accident

Reese Witherspoon has been left “really frightened” after she was hit by a car while jogging on Wednesday.
Sources say the Oscar-winner is still shaken up by the incident.
“The whole incident really frightened her,” an insider told Us Weekly.
“It was very scary… She’s very lucky. [Now] she’s just resting up, but it’s been a very scary experience for her and Jim [Toth].
“The odd thing about all of this is that Reese has always been very afraid of being hit by a car. It’s been an ongoing fear of hers.
“She is always the first person to pull people away from the edge of the curb because she doesn’t want them being accidentally hit.”
Witherspoon, 35, will not be pressing charges against the 84-year-old woman who struck her wheel she failed to yield at a pedestrian crosswalk. Reese sustained only a cut on her forehead and her injuries are not expected to affect her upcoming projects, which include This Means War with Tom Hardy and Mud with Matthew McConaughey.

The actor who raises four daughters with wife Lucy has shaved his head for his role in new movie Elysium and it’s causing no end of amusement at home.
“My kids love to slap my bald head,” says Matt.
“It’s kind of become like a go-to joke. It’s something we do a lot. Even I give it a slap from time-to-time just to get a laugh. I’m going to miss it if my hair ever grows back!”
Meanwhile, Matt has insisted he and his wife won’t be having any more kids.
“We’re closing the shop. That’s a wrap. Our life is full,” he said.
“I want to know our kids’ names.”

Jennifer Lopez went for a dinner date with Bradley Cooper.
The singer-and-actress who recently announced her split from husband Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage and the Hangover star enjoyed a meal together at New York restaurant Per Se over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the dinner was “romantic” and it was just the two of them at the restaurant.
Jennifer who has three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with Marc recently said she is still an “eternal optimist” about love despite her marriage break-up and is confident she will find love again.
“I really wanted this family to work,” she said. “That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn’t work and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love … It’s still my biggest dream.”
Bradley was previously romantically linked to actress Olivia Wilde after he took her to the after-party of The Hangover Part II in New York in May. He has previously dated Jennifer Aniston and Renee Zellweger.

Carey Mulligan loves being around babies because they calm her down.
The Drive actress who is reportedly engaged to musician Marcus Mumford wants to have three kids but right now just enjoys spending time with her friends’ offspring as they help her to relax and prevent her from worrying about insignificant things.
“I’d like to have three although that number’s gone down since I’ve hung out with people who actually have children. But I do love babies. Being around them calms me down because you don’t have to think about all your ridiculous worries,” she said.
“I used to be so worried about everything. I’d be sick before a spelling test and if somebody brought red wine around to my new flat, I’d be unable to take my eyes off it in case they dropped it. Ridiculous. In fact, I’m still finding it strange that everything has gone really right. I’ve been doing exactly what I want since I was 14.”
Carey loves children so much that she moved in with her Drive director Nicholas Winding Refn while filming the movie in Los Angeles and played with his kids in her free time.
“I had nowhere to live in L.A. and it was actually pretty awesome. I’d hang out with his wife and play with their babies and when I wasn’t filming I’d make carrot cakes and bring them on set,” she said.

Mitch Winehouse feels numb after daughter's Amy Winehouse death!

Mitch Winehouse went “numb” when he was told his daughter Amy had died.
The father of the Back to Blacksinger had just arrived in New York City on July 24 when he got a call from Amy’s minder to tell him she had passed away unexpectedly at her home in north London and he admits he will never forget that sad day.
“I was in New York when I found out,” Mitch said. “I was at my cousin’s, cuddling his newborn babies.
“He had just been asking me how Amy was. I said she was fine then my phone rang. It was Andrew, her security guard, in tears. He said something terrible had happened. Amy had died. I couldn’t understand him at first. I was like ice. I was cool as a cucumber. I told him to tell me again … I was in a terrible state of shock. I was just sitting there.”
After hearing of Amy’s death Mitch flew straight back home to the UK and he spent the entire flight in a state of total shock that his 27-year-old daughter was gone.
“I was just sitting there,” he said. “The flight home was horrendous. In my mind, I was saying, ‘Stop messing about, Amy’. She was a practical joker and I just hoped everyone had it wrong even though I knew it was right.
“It was horrible. I couldn’t cry. I wasn’t able to do anything. I was just numb.”
Mitch believes Amy who had struggled with alcohol and drug abuse before her death passed away from a seizure related to her alcohol detoxification.
While the part-time jazz singer who separated from Amy’s mother, Janis, when she was young still can’t watch videos of them together, he tries to remain positive, and is also still close to Reg Traviss, her boyfriend at the time of her death.
“I can’t watch any footage of her. I broke down when I saw some clips of us together on TV. But I want to remember everything about her. The good times and the bad times. I don’t want to forget anything,” he said.
The cause of Amy’s death has not yet been determined, although a toxicology report has ruled that drugs and alcohol did not contribute to her passing.
Mitch is launching the Amy Winehouse Foundation this week, a charity which will help young people suffering from addiction problems.

Kylie Minogue grateful to parents

Kylie Minogue’s parents are among the few people who don’t pressure her about having children.
The 43-year-old singer who has been dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso for three years is sick of people asking her when she plans on having kids but is grateful her parents aren’t trying to force her to become a mother.
“I hate the question, ‘So when are you going to have children?’ But amazingly I have never heard it from my mum or dad. They never put pressure on any of us. For a while it looked liked it would never happen for us all and then boom, boom, boom,” she said.
“The only answer I have is, ‘If it happens for me beautiful.’ I’ll have to wait and see. I love children and I love the thought of having a family. And Andres is really good with kids.”
While Kylie hasn’t ruled out having children in the future, for now she is content to dote on her nephews.
“Don’t get me started talking about my nephew. My brother Brendan’s son Charlie is five now and his little brother James is two and Dannii’s boy Ethan is one. They all came to see my show in Melbourne and I could see them from the stage. I kept looking over to see if they were still there,” she said.
Although Kylie calls herself a “serial monogamist”, she admitted she is reluctant to settle down and tie the knot.
“I don’t like to be boxed in. Maybe that feeling has affected my attitude to marriage. But it isn’t about fearing a commitment I am committed. I’m a serial monogamist and I have never run off. It’s just that I need to be able to breathe,” she said.
